OUR ACHIEVEMENTS

International University «MITSO» was the first Belarusian university to sign the Great Charter of Universities on September 18, 2015.

In 2015 the construction of a new modern academic building was completed.

In October 2014 a memorandum of cooperation with the Regional delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross in the Russian Federation, Belarus and Moldova was signed.

We signed an agreement with Microsoft In April 2014. It gives the university free access to advanced information technologies, including IT-Academy and Office365. The IT-Academy operates at our University. It allows for education through stationary and distance learning thanks to Microsoft authorized courses and for taking examinations for the international certificate of IT-professional or user.

The Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Cambridge was signed in November 2013 by its unit – the examination committee of Cambridge University and the Department of Tests in English, University of Cambridge. The aim of this cooperation is to improve the quality standards of education in the field of teaching English as a foreign language to bring it into accordance with international standards.

On January 30, 2012 International University «MITSO» received certificates of state accreditation in line with the profile of the University status.

In November 2011, the University was given the status of the National Examination Center ECL (European Consortium for the Certificate of Attainment in Modern Languages) – European Consortium for certification of knowledge of modern foreign languages. In the period from 2012 to 2016 in the framework of the National Examination Center ECL 393 students of law and economics were tested.

Since September 2011 International University «MITSO» has been a member of the International Association of Universities, which unites more than 600 higher education institutions in 150 countries around the world.

On September 1, 2010 International University «MITSO» received the international certificate of quality management system in compliance with the international standard ISO 9001: 2008 accreditation from UKAS (The United Kingdom Accreditation Service). The Certificate issued by Bureau Veritas Certification, the company in the field of certification, is recognized in more than 150 countries around the world, which greatly improves the status and prestige of the University in the world educational arena.

Since August 2010 International University «MITSO» has been a member of the «Academic Impact» program. Academic Impact is a global initiative that brings institutions of higher education together with the United Nations. The aim of it is to support ten universally accepted principles concerning human rights, literacy, sustainability and conflict resolution.

The Center for Labour Law, which is engaged in the research of labour law and labour relations in the Republic of Belarus and other countries, is functioning in the university. Since 2012 the Centre for Labour Law has been a member of the research network, founded in 2011. It brings research institutes (centers) around the world together and is devoted to the study of Labour Law.

The Center for Labour Law performs the functions of the national information centre of the International Labour Organisation on safety and health.

The University is a member of the international educational and academic association of institutions in the sphere of social and labour education.

In September 2009 a new resource center on international humanitarian law was opened at our university. The activities of the Center are supported by the UN, the International Committee of the Red Cross and other international organizations.

Since 2003 in the University there has been a branch of the UNESCO department on information technologies and law. The aim of the department is to distribute academic, methodological and educational information in the sphere of legal informatization, training, retraining and advanced training of personnel in accordance with the projects of UNESCO.
